Beautiful Baby! - Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer

One of the favorite parts of my job is getting to follow a family as they take the journey from pregnancy to welcoming their new little one. I had an absolute blast with this couple at their maternity shoot and could not wait to capture their sweet angel once she made her appearance. One of my favorite maternity shots was the one where they were deciding her name - see below! (inspired by a wonderful photographer Pinkletoes!)

Well can anyone guess her name??

Welcome beautiful Emmy!! She was the perfect newborn model!

Sweet little Peanut-Virginia Newborn Photographer

I could not help calling this little one a peanut. Little baby I seemed so tiny to me (probably because my last baby was 10 lbs!). She was so petite and perfect in every way. Apparently, she is also a little diva and did not want to miss out on any of her shoot -it took her a good long while to fall into a deep slumber! That was ok with me though because I had a great time visiting and talking with mom, dad and grandma. Congratulations S & A - she is just beautiful. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Beautiful Mama! | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of shooting maternity portraits for this beautiful mother-to-be. It seems like the first time she contacted me was an eternity ago!  Well she was just as sweet as she seemed in our ongoing string of emails back and forth and it was nice to finally meet her and her family. Little A is just gorgeous and I loved her little personality - she reminded me so much of my two year old!

J and A - I hope you like like this sneak peek. I am so glad that you decided to maternity portraits to capture this special time. Before you know it, you will be a family of four!

Gorgeous Little A!!!

Also, I wanted to say a special thanks to J’s Aunt and Uncle for their hospitality.  Our session took place at their gorgeous home in Bethesda (as J&A’s brand new house is being built right now).  The house was built in 1903 and the architectual details were stunning! The house was decorated with the most beautiful antiques in every area of the house. Well for good reason - J’s Aunt owns an antique store in Georgetown called River House Antiques.  I can’t wait to take a trip to check it out.  With her attention to detail exhibited in her house,  I am sure it is an awesome antique store! And….. the bread was soo yummy - I ate it on my way home. Thanks again :o)

J & A - I cant wait to meet your new addition soon!
