Family Fun - Arlington Virginia Childrens Photographer

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending time with this cute family. 3 year old “S” and 1 year old “Q” were little balls of energy. I love being able to capture these times for families… Q was so happy to be mobile that he wanted to do nothing but walk, run, wobble, and crawl. And little S was so cute with her independant 3 year old personality! Thank you A Family - I will talk to you soon!

Glowing! | Md Maternity Newborn Photographer

Oh I had so much fun with this wonderful couple this past weekend. They are expecting their first child and are absolutely positively going to be the best parents! How do I know this? Well…. they are already wonderful godparents to one of my best friend’s son. But more importantly, you can see how much they love each other, how exciting this time is for them and how much they can’t wait to meet thier little one.

On a side note, my computer went kaputz the other night. I had only edited a couple of pictures from the session. Thankfully, I saw this was coming and had purchased another computer. No files were lost, but right now I do not have the ability to work on this session any more for a couple of days… BUT I just wanted to share the few that I had edited.

I had soo much fun! Thanks T&T for such a fun time :o)

I saw this bench when we first got to National Harbor. Just had to take a pic with the turtles - I love the piers and flags behind them. If you have not been to National Harbor yet, you should check it out!

I have so many more favs for you all to see! Hope you enjoy :o)

Fun Family Session!

I had a wonderful time yesterday with this family. The kids had attended their homecoming the night before so I was sure they would have rather been at home getting a little more rest - but instead they were super nice and put up with all of my crazyness :) Thanks S, K & W - hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Love doing late afternoon sessions for the pretty golden sun!

Like I said - they were up for anything!

Oh Boy!(s)

LOL - I couldn’t wait to do this session with this family of 3 boys - 7 year old big brother and (almost) 2 year old twins.  Little boys are so much fun - you never really know what to expect (except for the fact they usually will be on the move!) - I should have known they would be a fun laid back bunch of kiddos (Dad was a former coworker and I knew they were a pretty laid back family).  I had a great time D & S - I love that you and your neighbors are so close that they stopped by to check on things :o)

Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

And I loved the expressions on the twins faces in this one…PRICELESS!

Cute family!!!

So this past weekend, I experienced something completely new for me - pet photography!  I loved this family with their two little ones. Hannah and Riley were so good to me. Especially considering that all my “little tricks” for children do not work on dogs and the fact that the brilliant photographer (ME!) chooses a location that just happens to have a dog walk going on the very day and time of the session…. but Hannah and Riley stuck with me - only getting distracted by the 100’s of other dogs walking by just a few times. And Mom and Dad (J&K) - thanks so much for going with my “more artistic” ideas :o)

Hope you enjoy your sneak peak!!!

one of my favorites of Hannah!

and a favorite of Riley!

DEFINITELY one of my fav family shots!!

Adorable Little Newborn!

Not even Tropical Storm Hannah could keep us (myself and Stacy) from this beautiful little one! Thanks mom and dad for letting us hang out today!

…Adoration…

This would be the word I would use to describe the interaction between this family. In my short time with them yesterday, I could see how much Mom & Dad ADORE their little ones. Some of my favorite times during a session are those in-between-times when mom and dad are not paying attention to the fact that I am there at all, they are just taking in the moments with their little ones. These are often my favorite shots from the sessions - I have quite a few from this session as well as many others. Mom & Dad - thank you for letting me spend time with your adorable little ones and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Adorable Little Boys!

I really do love this family. One of my first sessions ever was photographing these twin boys - 2 years old - boy were they pistols - LOL! I do believe I spent a whole hour at least chasing them around the park - they were so full of energy. A couple of months later, a little baby brother arrived at the house and I got to visit the family again. Well here it is six months later and I got to go back and visit with this fun family.  Mom and Dad definitely have their hands full with 3 boys. And OH MY this little 6 month old is soooooooooo cute - I just wanted to squeeze him. Mom, when I kept saying that over and over, I meant it in a good way - LOL!!! Here are just a couple from this morning.

And here are just a few of big brothers who turned 3 yesterday - playing with their toy train - Happy Birthday J&A!!!

All boys!

I have to say this morning’s session just made me smile. These two little ones were the definition of ALL BOY! For the first half of the session I don’t think they even noticed me because they were having so much fun. Thank you to Mom for letting me drag you and your little ones around Reston & Herndon. If anyone in the area has a free minute, check out Frying Pan Park. One of the goats just had a kid named Broolyn. Take care mom - hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

This is the DEFINITION of BROTHERS to me! I love their interaction :)

Ballin in Old Town

I was soooo excited to do this session! One of my VERY best friends asked me to do a session for her and her son.  She is one of the kindest, strongest, most generous people that I know.  Little Richie is very good as basketball. I typically would not say to come to a session in basketball gear, but knowing that is such a huge part of his life, I wanted to include it in the session.  He really is Mr. Cool though and had a line up of other outfit changes as well (as did mom) :o)  Love ya! Hope you like the sneak peek!

I love this one!

Like any little boy this age, he thought it was hillarioius to “clear the room” - if you know what I mean….
