Little Teddy | DC Metro Newborn Photographer

That is going to be my nickname for this little man from now on. Just look how adorable he looked in this hat! He is truly the cutest little teddy bear I have ever seen. When I arrived for the session little X had been down sleeping for a long time, so of course he was ready to party! He hung out for quite a while before falling back asleep, but when he did - he was out. T & T - he is just perfect and I am so happy for the both of you. Thank you for your patience while I posted the sneak peek ;o)  Talk to you soon

Hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Hugs,

Beth

Beautiful Mama! | Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of shooting maternity portraits for this beautiful mother-to-be. It seems like the first time she contacted me was an eternity ago!  Well she was just as sweet as she seemed in our ongoing string of emails back and forth and it was nice to finally meet her and her family. Little A is just gorgeous and I loved her little personality - she reminded me so much of my two year old!

J and A - I hope you like like this sneak peek. I am so glad that you decided to maternity portraits to capture this special time. Before you know it, you will be a family of four!

Gorgeous Little A!!!

Also, I wanted to say a special thanks to J’s Aunt and Uncle for their hospitality.  Our session took place at their gorgeous home in Bethesda (as J&A’s brand new house is being built right now).  The house was built in 1903 and the architectual details were stunning! The house was decorated with the most beautiful antiques in every area of the house. Well for good reason - J’s Aunt owns an antique store in Georgetown called River House Antiques.  I can’t wait to take a trip to check it out.  With her attention to detail exhibited in her house,  I am sure it is an awesome antique store! And….. the bread was soo yummy - I ate it on my way home. Thanks again :o)

J & A - I cant wait to meet your new addition soon!

THANK YOU!!!

I just wanted to give a quick thank you to the Firemen from Fairfax County Station 36!

Everyday these men and women put their own lives on the line to save other’s lives. Well tonight, they saved my SANITY!!! Last night I had a whopping one hour of sleep due to my fire alarms in every room of the house going off every 5 - 10 minutes.  Tonight after dance and a grocery run, the kids and I arrived home to all of the fire alarms going off non stop not just every couple of minutes. We head back out to store (again) to buy some new batteries. Come home change all 7 batteries to no avail…. After almost having a nervous breakdown because I cannot get them to stop, I call Fairfax County. These guys are awesome – they showed up right away and were so gracious and did not even make fun of me. I know I had to look ultra frazzled by then!!!

So after we said our thank you’s and closed the door, I sit back and realize I did not even take a picture of these awesome fellas!!!! I open the door and they were already pulling off - too late.  LOL - only a photographer would think like that. Well again, we wanted to say a big GINORMOUS (love that word) THANK YOU!  Not only for fixing the alarms at our house, but for all you do for the community.

I had a list of things to do tonight, but I think I will just sit here and listen to the silence :o)

I am feeling like this post is incomplete without a picture so here is one from this past week (and how ironic  because I hope to be “sleeping like a baby” tonight!!!)

Cars + Boys = Fun!

So as I mentioned in a previous post, my son’s birthday is the day following Christmas. As usual, we cannot celebrate his birthday with his friends until the New Year due to everyone being busy with their own families. I always try to make J’s Birthday extra special since it falls so close to the holidays. This year my mom came up with a great idea and one that I would have never known about - Ridemakerz in Fredericksburg.  Check them out at www.Ridemakerz.com!  Seriously, we all had sooo much fun. It is basically a build-a-bear for boys. Instead of the bears, they have the chance to custom design their own cars, trucks, etc. They pick the body, rims, tires, remote control, decals etc and then get to build the whole thing. It is sooo cool!

Happy New Years!

A couple minutes into the New Year…. Here is to wishing all of you a great year in 2009!  I am still in disbelief about how quickly 2008 flew by! I cannot wait for all of the exciting times to come in 2009 and all of the wonderful moments I just cannot wait to capture. Tonight I was browsing back through some photos and reminiscing. Well this is just a reminder to EVERYONE to capture those everyday moments. I came across these shots and just absolutely adore them. They are my little just turned 2 year old, AKA “Ms. Independent” eating her applesauce.  And yes she picked the biggest spoon in the drawer… What a gooey little mess she was, but oh how she grew this year. These are the moments I know that I will always look back on and just smile :o)

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!
