This could be one of my favorite sessions ever! Take a 6 year old named Jadyn who is FULL of personality, a rockin mom with tons of great ideas, a beautiful location (farm and horses) and gorgeous evening light and you will have this session. I will let the pictures speak for themselves but I think you will see why it was so much fun! It was so hard to narrow down my favorites so this is a rather long blog post. Oh and check out how much Miss J has grown since her last session!
It always amazes me how much babies changes in one year! I guess with three children of my own it really shouldn’t be a surprise…but to me it is such a miracle! I was so happy to spend time with this beautiful family again and to capture pictures for Charlotte’s one year session. You may remember this family from Charlotte’s Newborn Session. Well look how much she has grown! And her beautiful older sister Kylie has changed so much too. This family and awesome and it may sound funny to say…but I always remember things about all of the family’s that I do work for because one of the parts of my jobs that I love is getting to know each family. But it meant so much to me when Kerry (mom) picked right up from our last session asking about my family and business, etc. She had remembered our conversation from a year ago….. wow!! Love my job!
Here is just a quick sneak peek of the wonderful family of 7 that I had the pleasure of spending Saturday morning with. I had been looking forward to this session as it has been awhile since I have had a session with older sets of kids. Roderick, Myles, Carter, Cayden and Cayla are some pretty awesome kids and welcomed me right away into their home. I had fun hanging out, talking and getting to know each of the kids. A change of pace from chasing a 2 year old with your camera!

I had the best time with this family on Sunday! I often tell my newborn clients that a good amount of our time is spent talking and waiting for their little one to fall asleep. I actually love this because I love getting to know my clients. I felt like Mom and me had been friends for years…but I have a feeling she makes everyone feel this way! Thank you for making me feel so welcome. Brooke is a little peanut and so adorable! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of spending the morning with little Eliana and her family. Eliana was another cutie who simply did not want to miss out on her modeling debut! She stayed awake most of the session even though it was during a time when she usually is fast asleep. This goes to show that baby ALWAYS runs the show! I had a great time talking with mom and dad and getting to know them and at long last Eliana gave us a couple minutes of sleepy time. Mom & Dad – she is adorable and I hope you like your sneak peek!
This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful little one…..I absolutely love her name – Taye! Little Taye was another one who did not want to miss her modeling debut and gave us a time going to sleep. Mom kept telling me that she is usually down for the count at the time of our session. But as usual we have to take baby’s lead! I had a great time getting to know you Taylor – hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

This weekend I had the pleasure of capturing this beautiful newborn and her wonderful family. Mom and Dad have their hands full with almost 3 year old twins and are blessed with this yet another adorable little one! Harper was a little angel and so content and big brother and sister were obviously very proud of their little sister. Mom and Dad it was a pleasure meeting you and the rest of the family. While Mom was getting Harper situated, I had a couple minutes with big brother and sister. They were so cute!
I think it is pretty safe to say Mom & Dad were overjoyed to finally meet their little one….. but the picture below tells me that Jaxon is just as happy to be here with them! This is one of my favorite pictures ever

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of the spending the morning with this little cutie pie and his Mom & Dad. Let me tell you….Daniel was not trying to miss a thing. Go to sleep?… no way! He fought us tooth and nail to stay awake. This always goes to show that babies run the show from the minute they make their appearance ) But I am always prepared for this and do not mind one bit. I love being able to sit back and talk to the new family and get to know them! Mom and Dad - I had a great time kicking back and talking with you (oh and spending time with the MOST AWESOME DOG EVER! – Guss was so laid back – I could have taken him home with me!). Thank you for making me feel so welcome in your home! I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of your handsome little man!

I absolutely adore the quote above…it is so true. I am blessed to have a group of girlfriends that I consider FAMILY. One of the things that my mother has told me more then once in my adult years is that I am lucky to have such an everlasting group of friends and that many friendships do not endure the years as our “crew’s” has. Most of us have been friends since our freshman year at South Lakes High School. Some of us actually go back to elementary school and some have joined our “crew” along the way. Each of one of my girls is special to me. As we get older and have families ourselves, it has become less frequent that we all get to see each other. But I do know in times of need or in times of celebration, that my girls, my family will always be there and I will always be there for them. Which brings me to the point of my post. Alexia is one of my BFFs! When I found out she was expecting I was sooo happy for her and when she asked me if I would shoot her maternity pictures I felt so privileged to be able to capture this special time for her. Alexia – you are a gorgeous mama-to-be and I can’t wait to meet your little man!
