Just for the long weekend though! Off to the beach with the family. I will have limited access to email and voicemail. Everyone have a fun safe holiday weekend
Outta Here!
Just speechless!
Ok, So I am pretty much speechless about the beauty of this senior client and I think I am spot on when I say this client would be any photographers dream. Ms. B is a daughter of a former coworker (& friend :o)) - the last time I had seen her I think she was 7. Well here we are 10 years later, and I feel so priviledged that her mom chose me to do senior pictures for her. We chose Old Town Alexandria. This is where they live and my old stomping ground. This is one of my favorites shooting locations! Thanks Ms. B for trooping around with me - you are a super model girlfriend!!! Hopefully these hold you all over until the gallery is ready - there are a zillion favorites from me……

…Adoration…
This would be the word I would use to describe the interaction between this family. In my short time with them yesterday, I could see how much Mom & Dad ADORE their little ones. Some of my favorite times during a session are those in-between-times when mom and dad are not paying attention to the fact that I am there at all, they are just taking in the moments with their little ones. These are often my favorite shots from the sessions - I have quite a few from this session as well as many others. Mom & Dad - thank you for letting me spend time with your adorable little ones and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Adorable Little Boys!
I really do love this family. One of my first sessions ever was photographing these twin boys - 2 years old - boy were they pistols - LOL! I do believe I spent a whole hour at least chasing them around the park - they were so full of energy. A couple of months later, a little baby brother arrived at the house and I got to visit the family again. Well here it is six months later and I got to go back and visit with this fun family. Mom and Dad definitely have their hands full with 3 boys. And OH MY this little 6 month old is soooooooooo cute - I just wanted to squeeze him. Mom, when I kept saying that over and over, I meant it in a good way - LOL!!! Here are just a couple from this morning.

And here are just a few of big brothers who turned 3 yesterday - playing with their toy train - Happy Birthday J&A!!!

Product Palooza!!
So I have been meaning to do this for some time. I have wanted to show everyone some of the sweet goodies that I am offering!
Albums seem to be a HUGE hit with my clients. I offer a 40-page Session Album and the 20-page Mini Session Album (both hold 5×7 images). The Mini Session Albums are sooo loved by grandparents! I offer two styles of albums - The Traditional and The Modern Flair Album - check them out below.
The Traditional
Black Leather album - comes in black satin lined box.

The Modern Flair
Choice of cover style and fabric (I show you swatches at the session), images mounted on the page so they will not budge! These albums are sooo super cool. The cover options are wonderful and I already have a couple of favorites. The good thing with these albums - you get to choose YOUR favorite cover!
This recent client ordered 3 albums in 3 different cover options! Here is a 8×10 Modern Flair Album (I do offer these 20 page 8×10s as well) - Garbo Red Cover. I LOVE this one!!

Here is a 5×7 with the Middle Earth Greenfields Cover - One of my favs!!!

This is another 5×7 Album - Eclectic Cover Option - Seriously, look how thick and chunky these pages are - they are awesome!

And last but not least here is a sneak peek of a canvas. I had 3 arrive for clients this week - they are sooooo beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! This one we chose not to wrap the image, but to do a solid border instead. Isn’t it gorgeous :o)

Disclaimer - I am horrible at product photography - so these don’t do the products any justice - but I hope you get the pic!
Beautiful Family!
I recently had the privilege to meet this beautiful family. I attended little Carmen’s Celebration of Life Party on July 20th - her 2nd Birthday. Little Carmen has a very rare disease called Tay-Sachs. I am posting a picture to me that represents that day to me. This is Carmen’s beautiful mom Lana with a friend watching a video put together by her husband. I personally was overwhelmed (in a good way) by the amount of loving family and friends that were there to support them in these times.

This family has an amazing strength that is hard describe. To see more of their beautiful family check out Rashmi’s Blog - she captured some beautiful family portraits that morning before the party.
Also, to read more about Carmen and her beautiful family please visit here
Lana & Dave - your pictures will be to you soon!
Hugs,
Beth
Claim to fame…ok not quite :o)
So I am happy to annouce to all my wonderful friends, family, clients that I recently had a picture published in a National Publication. I have always loved reading the Washington Post - especially growing up in this area. I always loved reading the Metro Section and the Weekend Section. Recently, the post did an article on local water playgrounds or “spraygrounds” in this area and my picture was chosen to go in the article. whoo hooo! check it out here!
Thanks and have a good weekend everyone!
hugs

Wanna Be
Ok so I do believe that any mom with a little girl 6 or above is quite involved in the Hannah Montana craze. We are no exception. We pre-purchased the tickets to see the Hannah Montana Concert Movie when it came out. Most with little girls know that the Disney Channel was showing the movie this past weekend. My daughter pulled out the 3D glasses from the movie and was set to watch the show. Come to find out - they didnt work quite as well as at the movie theater. Well leave it to the kiddos to make do.
And so was born the Hannah Montanna Concert at our house. Seriously it was so stinkin cute. Big brother was the producer. He made the tickets and distributed them, carried the kareoke machine down the stairs, did the announcing (are you ready, ready, ready - ummm yeah the echo machine) and handled the show lighting (flash light!).
Here are a few snaps. Wish i had more, but i was laughing to hard. She really did sing a song - look at the wig

All boys!
I have to say this morning’s session just made me smile. These two little ones were the definition of ALL BOY! For the first half of the session I don’t think they even noticed me because they were having so much fun. Thank you to Mom for letting me drag you and your little ones around Reston & Herndon. If anyone in the area has a free minute, check out Frying Pan Park. One of the goats just had a kid named Broolyn. Take care mom - hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
This is the DEFINITION of BROTHERS to me! I love their interaction

Adorable Little G
I just first and foremost have to say thank you to this beautiful family. It was soooo hot yesterday and you guys totally hung with me during the shoot. This little one - cute little G was unsure of me at first. He did warm up to me and actually liked me singing patty cake and the ABC’s to him (at least I am pretending he really liked it- although in reality he was laughing at my horrible singing voice….). Mom and Dad - I could see all the love you have for your little one and that always makes me so happy - hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

i just love how the family seems to form a heart in this one!!!
